The 2008 Dubai World Cup third was on the track again and trainer Eoin Harty re-confirmed that he will “just gallop” in the lead-up to the big race. Here he is jogging by this morning.

When asked about an ideal draw for the likely pace-setter, Harty told me that they would be most happy with “middle seven and in” given the declared field of 14. Harty and his ownership reps from WinStar looked on from the Maktoum Grandstand when Well Armed made it to the back of the track.

The connections are quite happy with how he takes to the track and the conditions here in Dubai, which were the warmest so far since any of the international horses shipped into the Emirates. Well Armed will stand as good a chance as any on Saturday night.
