Victoire Pisa sets sights on Arc, via Ireland

2011 Dubai World Cup (G1) winner Victoire Pisa, off the course since being declared lame in advance of the Audemars Piguet QE II Cup (G1) in late April, is doing well and has been targeted for starts in the Irish Champion Stakes and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) in October. More from the Racing Post.

  1. Victoire Pisa’s likely to run into So You Think at Leopardstown in this year’s G1 Irish Champion Stakes. Also wouldn’t rule out Cape Blanco being in the race again. As O’Brien ran both Cape Blanco and Rip Van Winkle in last year’s Irish Champion Stakes. Fame and Glory and Mastercraftsman together the year prior. Great horse though Victoire Pisa is. He seems to need every yard of 12f on turf, and I just don’t see him beating So You Think over 10f. So You Think has got a incredible cruising speed all his own!!
