The coming week in Dubai racing will be chock-full of action with no fewer than 16 races scheduled at Meydan over a two-night double dip. Thursday, the turf course opens with the DRC Gold Cup prep over 2,800 meters (about 14 furlongs) followed by the first stakes race on the grass, the Al Rashidiya (G3), at 1,800 meters. Six other Tapeta races are planned, including the UAE 2000 Guineas Trial, complementing last week’s fillies edition.
Friday’s card is highlighted by the $200,000 Cape Verdi (G3) for fillies and mares along with a 100+ handicap, both races schedule for the turf course. The extended forecast suggests perfect conditions for both nights. DubaiRaceNight.com will post comments on the initial entries Monday, then complete full card analysis with video for the meetings.
