Tammaro: “Dubai bounce nothing more than a myth”

American blogger and tipster Nick Tammaro, who also provides tips for this site during the Dubai World Cup Carnival season, grew exasperated with the repeated grumbles amongst some in the US racing community that trips to Dubai took something extra out of American chances in the race.

“The thought that sending a horse to Dubai effectively wrecked any chance they had for future success has been prevalent.  We’ve heard the terms ‘Dubai bounce’ or ‘Dubai jinx.’  Royal Delta and Game on Dude happen to be the two most recent examples of this being patently untrue.”

Tammaro offers a full recap of the last few years of American participation in the world’s richest race meeting, and flatly surmises that the naysayers have let the myth run amok in their minds.  ”While American participation in the Dubai World Cup program will never reach the level it was ten years ago, the majority of our horses end up no worse for wear.”
