Snow Fairy aimed for Dubai Sheema Classic

Failing to make the 2011 edition of the Dubai Sheema Classic, the mare is in line for a tilt at the 2012 edition, according to comments from trainer Ed Dunlop from The National.  While part of the column takes note of some horses taken from Dunlop by Rabbah Bloodstock, the remarks regarding Anamoine Ltd.’s mare come towards the end of the article.  Read the full column HERE.

If Snow Fairy is going to run in this year’s Sheema Classic? It might explain why her connection’s have opted to run in the G1 Hong Kong Vase over 12f instead trying to repeat as the G1 Hong Kong Cup winner over 10f this time? Snow Fairy’s trainer, Ed Dunlop, announced that today on twitter. That he will have both Snow Fairy, and G1 Melbourne Cup runner-up, Red Cadeaux, in the G1 Hong Kong Vase field this year.

Snow Fairy suffered an injury cantering at Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong. She’s now been withdrawn from running in this year’s G1 Hong Kong Vase. Her trainer Ed Dunlop said she’ll stay in training and race again as a 5yr.old. But I wonder with this injury that she’s suffered in Hong Kong if they can have her ready to run in this year’s Sheema Classic or not?
