Silver Pond planned for comeback

Second in the 2012 Maktoum Challenge R3 (G1), finishing between eventual 1st and 2nd place Dubai World Cup finishers Monterosso and Capponi, Silver Pond is due back to the races in two weeks, reported owner Saeed Nasser Al Romaithy.  Scratched the morning of the 2012 Dubai World Cup, the French-bred son of Act One is expected to return in the Grand Prix du Conseil de Paris (G2) at Longchamp. Over 2,400 metres on the turf, the history it has produced is something Romaithy hopes translates for his charge.  The 2009 edition of the race went to 2012 Dubai Sheema Classic winner Cirrus Des Aigles.  Romaithy reported that the 2013 Dubai World Cup Carnival is in the plans if Silver Pond comes out of the race in good order.

  1. Silver Pond just ran in a conditions race at Longchamp in France on October 17th and he finished 4th of 7. Whether that performance will have any bearing on him returning to Dubai for the 2013 Carnival, I have no idea?
