Rich Tapestry was fast in American debut

The details of Rich Tapestry’s performance on dirt at Santa Anita were offered greater perspective by the “Inside the Trip” blog at America’s Best Racing. How fast did the Hong Kong import, and winner of the Mahab Al Shimaal, really run relative to other key efforts at the distance over the same strip as last year’s Breeders’ Cup. 1. I watched Rich Tapestry’s conventional dirt debut at Santa Anita and I have to say he was just as, if not more impressive than on dirt in the G1 Santa Anita Sprint Championship than any of his sprints I’ve seen him in Hong Kong on turf or in Dubai on tapeta. And lest we forget, with that win at Santa Anita, Rich Tapestry earned himself one of the “win and your in” slots into the G1 Breeders Cup Sprint, and in the process defeated 2 of the likely favorites for the race in Goldenscents & Secret Circle, who’s won the last 2 renewals of the BC Sprint.
