Regular Carnival patron Lynam scores big at Ascot

Trainer Ed Lynam, a fixture at the Dubai World Cup Carnival the last few seasons, managed a brilliant feat at this year’s Royal Ascot meeting, taking both of the prestigious Group 1 sprints – landing the King’s Stand Stakes for the second consecutive year with Sole Power and then the Diamond Jubilee with Slade Power five days later. Add a juvenile win Anthem Alexander in the Queen Mary Stakes on Wednesday and Lynam’s lot was flying.

Geoffrey Riddle from The National has more, along with Brian Sheerin from RacingUK.
