Red Jazz bounces back for post-Godolphin Mile win

Making his first start since a third behind African Story and Viscount Nelson in the Godolphin Mile (G2), Red Jazz scored a narrow victory in Saturday’s Spring Trophy Stakes (Listed) at Haydock, scoring yet another tally for horses that shipped in and out of Dubai for the World Cup meeting.  The winner was a family affair, of course, trained by Charlie Hills and ridden by Michael.  Red Jazz does hold an entry in Saturday’s Lockinge Stakes (G1), a race expected to feature Frankel.  His third in the Godolphin Mile this year was his second consecutive such effort, grabbing the bronze in 2011 behind Skysurfers.
