Mackenzie’s Best – Race 3 – #8 Cry Joy
Cry Joy comes into the third race, a 2000m dirt handicap, with the highest rating of his career to date. Since switching from the all-weather courses in the UK to the dirt of Meydan, the four year old Street Cry colt seems to have found his preferred surface. He broke his maiden here on December 18th at 2000m by a length and three quarters. In his most recent start he was beaten a head at a further distance of 2,200 meters. While this race is a big step up in class for him, he seems to be improving upon each start and should enjoy a return to 2,000 meters, and gets in light in the weights, the lightest impost of his career.
