With a week to go before opening day at Meydan, trial races were contested over the Tapeta surface to give trainers, jockeys, and racecourse administrators a preview of what sits ahead in the, now, very near future. As Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum looked on, Meydan was put through the paces and the verdict was clear.
