Pour Moi flies home, gives Barzalona a Derby

While Mickael Barzalona has ridden with success in France for several years, he really emerged as a top class rider when wintering in Dubai in 2011, finishing tied for third in the Carnival jockey standings.  On Saturday, the rest of the world had it confirmed as Barzalona partnered Pour Moi to win the Investec Derby (G1) at Epsom, nailing longshot Treasure Beach on the line.  Settled out the back, Pour Moi, trained by Andre Fabre, had plenty to do in the long straight but emerged the narrowest of winners as the teenager stood in irons, celebrating just at the wire.
