Owning the only horse to win the UAE Triple Crown, Asiatic Boy, and sending out the 1-2 finishers in the 2008 UAE Derby, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum has known plenty of success when it comes to sending developing colts to Dubai. Another one poised to make the transition is Musir, winner of Saturday’s Golden Horseshoe Stakes (G1) at Greyville on the Vodacom Durban July undercard.
Impeccably bred, a son of the crack Aussie sire Redoute’s Choice out of the Encosta De Lago mare Dizzy De Lago, Musir is being exported to Dubai, and is likely to be joined by the Durban July second, Zirconeum – so says The National’s Sarah Tregoning.

Sheikh Mohammed also owns former Carnival runners including Diana’s Choice, Hunting Tower, Archipenko, Imbongi, amongst many others.
