Monterosso given late entry to Brigadier Gerard

The 2012 Dubai World Cup winner could return on Thursday in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes (G3) at Sandown after entries were re-opened following only seven initial acceptors.  A Dubai World Cup winner has yet to return to the winner’s enclosure since Curlin took the 2008 Stephen Foster (G1) at Churchill Downs in June, almost three months after his win at Nad al Sheba.  CLICK HERE for the story from the Racing Post.  Opinion Poll, winner of the Dubai Gold Cup (G3), also holds an entry at the meeting, specifically, in the Henry II Stakes (G3).
