Mawatheeq could travel for Sheema Classic

A strong performance from Twice Over, third in Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), has buoyed the hopes of trainer Marcus Tregoning who could possibly send Mawatheeq for the Dubai Sheema Classic (G1).  Mawatheeq was a half-length behind Twice Over in the Champion Stakes (G1) at Newmarket on October 17 over ten furlongs before winning the Cumberland Lodge Stakes (G3) at Ascot.  Tregoning, who won the Sheema Classic with Nayef in 2002, indicated a trip overseas now would be highly unlikely.
