Dar Re Mi returning Saturday in Coral Eclipse

The Dubai Sheema Classic (G1) winner from 2010 will make her first start since landing those spoils when Dar Re Mi takes on an expected field of ten in Saturday’s Coral Eclipse Stakes (G1).  Twice Over, tenth in this year’s Dubai World Cup (G1) and second to the same silked Byword in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes (G1) at Ascot, is a slight favorite over Dar Re Mi.  Click HERE for comments from Lady Lloyd-Webber’s racing manager Simon Marsh, as published in The Telegraph.  Marsh notes the King George is a likely stepping-stone for Dar Re Mi.

  1. Twice Over is coming into the Coral Eclipse Stakes off of a great 2nd place effort to Byword in the 2010 Prince of Wales Stakes last week at the Royal-Ascot meet. He ran a much improved effort off of his 2010 Dubai World Cup run. But if Dar Re Mi shows up at Sandown and races anywhere remotely close to the form she displayed at Meydan in the 2010 Sheema Classic, Twice Over and all the rest are running for 2nd place money. 2. This is how I see Saturday’s Coral Eclipse Stakes at Sandown playing out:

    Win-Dar Re Mi
    Show-Twice Over
