But even if Dar Re Mi had raced in the King George, she would've likely been just another casualty of war on that day. Because that day truly belonged to Harbinger. Harbinger was indeed a man among boys and one girl in that race. Annihilating the Epsom Derby winner, the Irish Derby winner, the Hong Kong Vase winner, and a 3-time Arc De Triomphe runner-up horse. It was indeed the most impressive King George performance I've ever seen in my lifetime. And I'm a 50 yr.old man. Crowded House has an explosive turn of foot. With America's turf courses much faster turf than the courses in Europe, Crowded House should eventually thrive in those conditions. Like Allybar, Crowded House also seems to handle synthetic tracks very well, too. So a race on the poly-track or all-weather surfaces in California probably isn't out of the question for Crowded House either.
