The 2012 Breeders’ Cup, run next Friday and Saturday at Santa Anita, offers international punters a cavalcade of action. The pre-entries were released on Wednesday with final declarations due this coming Monday, with 180 entries across 15 different races. Four horses suggested as Dubai World Cup runners in 2013 have an entry, with Wise Dan and Animal Kingdom expected in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) and Dullahan cross-entered in the Breeders’ Cup Turf and Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1).
Royal Delta, the fourth expected American runner in the Dubai World Cup in 2013, and Game On Dude, both who failed to show their best in this year’s renewal, are entered in the Classic, with Royal Delta holding a likelier place in the Ladies’ Classic (G1). California Flag, third in the 2010 Al Quoz Sprint, and off since April of this year, is expected in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1), a race he won in 2009. The Brian Koriner trainee will make his fifth start in this race.
