Pat Cummings founded DubaiRaceNight.com in December 2008, and has tracked the Dubai World Cup Carnival and Dubai World Cup meetings for the site ever since. Pat covered those events in 2007 and 2008 on a separate site, before spinning DubaiRaceNight.com to its own platform.
DubaiRaceNight.com posts news and commentary on the Carnival and Dubai World Cup, and provides selections and analysis for each night of racing. After the racing season in Dubai, the site follows horses who have run in Dubai and shipped to other ports, or are planning to run the following season.
Pat’s selections and wagering suggestions for the Dubai races also appear on the American-based racing network TVG, available in almost 30 million households, and has been an analyst for the Dubai Racing Channel’s annual Dubai World Cup preview since 2009. He also makes occasional appearances on “At the Races with Steve Byk” on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Pat has served as the North American correspondent for Al Adiyat – The Voice of Racing in the United Arab Emirates since October 2010.
Tipping the entire DWCC and World Cup meetings, Pat concluded the 2012 Carnival with 21 winners and 25 placers from 106 selections (20% winners, 44% top three). Tipping the full racing season in the UAE, including racing at Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, Pat recorded 74 winners and 89 placers from 335 selections (22% first, 49% top three). Nick Tammaro, an American-based tipster, also provides selections for the World Cup Carnival meetings, scoring with a 23% strike rate last season. The average field size for Carnival races at Meydan was just shy of 12 horses per race, increasing the difficulty of finding winners.
