2013 Dubai World Cup – R1 – Dubai Kahayla Classic Analysis

Race 1 – $250,000 Dubai Kahayla Classic for purebred Arabians (G1), sponsored by Emaar, 2,000 metres, All-weather

There is plenty of pace in this race, treated as the Dubai World Cup for the purebred Arabians. Expected to go forward include #5 AREEM, #7 TM JUNIOR JOHNSON, with #1 RASIKH in close attendance from the rail stalking. Areem is a complete speedball.

Now, #9 TM FRED TEXAS is drawn a bit wide, but just doesn’t seem like the same horse this season than last, and his stable companion #13 RICH FRYNCHMAN might go and try to set it up, but that isn’t necessary with Areem in here.  Under normal circumstances, #10 NIESHAN would get the host of attention but is likely going to cover a wider trip in here. Interestingly enough, the horse we support is #2 VERSAC PY, who has run credible races on the surface without winning, and seems the only most likely to get the best trip.  Versac for us.

1st – #2 VERSAC PY, 2nd – #10 NIESHAN, 3rd – #7 TM JUNIOR JOHNSON

  1. Like #10 Nieshan very much as Eric Lemartinel told me horse will come up from his last win. #2 Versac Py and #11 Naseem with great jockey Harry Bentley. Best chance of Sheikh Joaan may be # 14 Al Mamun Monlau. Has strong lines in France. Best colt in 2011. Spoke with his trainer. Seems very condident.

  2. R1 #5 Areem, #11 Naseem, #10 Nieshan
